..everyone remembers their favorite teachers, one of mine was Mrs Plum she was my teacher when i was 9 and also taught drama at school (i loved joining in the school plays, think it was the chatter box in me!) we would go to her house sometimes to practise and she would pile the table with cakes and biscuits .she always made me feel confident and had endless patience

..it got me thinking about what teaching is ..

..whether we are teaching our children or our friend how to create, cook or crochet.. it’s all about patience, passing forward knowledge and taking time so the other person/child feels that they can achieve their goal and are equipped with the right tools…our children face big challenges in their lives and i know i need to take the time..

The Crafts House is a small studio on top of a "hill"..a place to create..a place to breathe..a time just for you.. I'm the luckiest person to spend my days creating the art that i love..meeting like minded creative friends..sharing time in the palette of life..

  2. What a lovely post. Made me think of my first teacher – Mrs Proctor. She was the sweetest lady I ever met and I still have such fond memories of her, even after all these years! I think the apples and the ‘to do’ list are brilliant, A lovely end of term gift for teachers. x
