…Creating on the Hill…

Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them

..a designer on “the hill”

Lauren has been designing projects for a while now and  i asked her to design one of our new shape of the month

..i think she was surprised when i said she was a designer but she is really good..

…I love the “sorting hat” inspired by Harry Potter

the wood was covered with brown paper (that had been scrunched)

and layers added for the eyebrows and mouth. When painted it looks like leather.

..i asked Lauren what “house” she would like if she went under the “sorting hat”…

she chose Ravenclaw…mine would be Gryffindor..if you have seen the films or read the books what would be yours?

Thank you Lauren for your wonderful project and being such a good designer xx

The Crafts House is a small studio on top of a "hill"..a place to create..a place to breathe..a time just for you.. I'm the luckiest person to spend my days creating the art that i love..meeting like minded creative friends..sharing time in the palette of life..

  1. What a lovely design. I think I would have been a Hufflepuff, simply because I like the sound of the name :-D.

  2. I would probably like being in Gryffindor because Harry is in that house it seems to be the best, but when I went on Pottermore and answered the quiz I was sorted into Ravenclaw which is still cool and Luna is in there. 🙂

  3. I think, like Bernice, I would be in Hufflepuff. The house symbol is a badger, and seeing as I like badgers that would suit me fine! Great Job on the Sorting Hat Lauren – love your photos! Karen B x
