…Creating on the Hill…

Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them

….news from ‘the hill’….

..it’s been a quite a while since i sat down to write a blog post….i wanted to let you all know how things are on ‘the hill’ and an update on what will be happening over the next couple of months.

..before i go on i just wanted to take the time to say a couple of things..

I have never been one to write a lot about my family, i have always respected their privacy… i am the luckiest wife and mother,my husband, daughters and son are and will always be everything to me.

In life we are faced with challenges that can be so big it makes you almost  give in, to stay in your bed with the duvet over your head never leaving that safe haven, your brain doesn’t want to accept it.

…on the 21st of December 2012 our wonderful son David was diagnosed with an in-operable brain tumor, our world was changed..our life would never be the same again..over the last 15 months we have watched our son be the strongest and most courageous young man, he has shown us all how to stay true to what we believe in, to have faith that God had a plan, to tackle life ‘one day at a time’, enjoying each memory and moment.

On the 4th April this year David died peacefully at home, from January this year we were so blessed as a family to be able to care for David at home…we shared every moment….together.

As we are taking the next steps each of us is doing what we think David would have wanted..staying close, being positive and enjoying each moment, staying as the family he loved being a part of.

One of the next steps is to open the doors on ‘the hill’…

Thursday          29th May / 5th, 19th, 26th June                         10am – 4pm

..I would also like to say that i am very thankful to have the most supportive friends and a ‘Crafts House Family’ who have been right beside us every step of the way….we are stronger and taking our steps because of you all..

“Go back?” he thought. “No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!” So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”

The Crafts House is a small studio on top of a "hill"..a place to create..a place to breathe..a time just for you.. I'm the luckiest person to spend my days creating the art that i love..meeting like minded creative friends..sharing time in the palette of life..
