yesterday was a great day of planning and organizing….two parts to the day…
part one was with two friends..both designers..both creative…very talented..they make a good team, they compliment each other well and i was lucky i had both in the same place at the same time.
We had our chosen beverage…i was able to resist the sweet goodies..my knees need some relief after last weekends dancing (excess weight on knees = pain) so i am removing the extra weight by cutting out the extras. Our planning notebooks were filled, dates and ‘to do; lists agreed on
and much to my delight I got a gift too..
this beautiful pincushion is so so cute and I was thrilled, it came in a gorgeous box ( yes you know me well…i will be re-loving it soon!)
we agreed that the tiny container could also be used as a shot glass( if times got stressful while sewing!!)
these pincushions are part of a wonderful group of women the Tohoku Grandmas that prove that when disaster strikes….stitching can give comfort and strength. The principals that Quilts for Comfort N.E. are building their foundation on.
Part two of the day was spent at home where we are moving forward with our home organizing project, we have decided to clear the decks and put order in our home…it will help us we think move forward, with clarity but also store the precious treasures in a better way
we have an assortment of record players stored…anyone remembering their first single/45 they bought?…mine was Donny Osmond ‘And they called it puppy love’…closely followed by David Cassidy and ‘Cherish’..memories
i would like to think that i could create a heaven like this to create in…my inspiration to keep on organizing
