…Creating on the Hill…

Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them

…out and about…

…meet “Miss Rayna James”.. she is the most funky doll, knitted as a gift for my birthday  by Margaret (if your wondering she is named after country singer Rayna James/Nashville)…i am seriously thinking that this is a perfect hair colour for me! and the dress is on my wish list too.

I decided today that”Rayna” needed an outing away from ‘the hill’…so along she came for a little outing. From time to time i think it will be fun to take “Rayna” out and about….she will be coming with us on our road trip to Nottingham in 2 weeks time, Amy will be on her way to becoming a vet.

Teddy is not going to be a happy cat, he has to stay home with us for the first year….I will have to get him to write postcards to Amy x

I’m really lucky to have women in my life who are strong..they are different ages, work different jobs …4 of them are my own daughters..1 of them is my aunt…I have friends who are going through a lot and a couple who have been tested to the limit. The common thread throughout is that they keep making the journey..

..on my quest to find unusual plant containers, i spied this one……love it x

The Crafts House is a small studio on top of a "hill"..a place to create..a place to breathe..a time just for you.. I'm the luckiest person to spend my days creating the art that i love..meeting like minded creative friends..sharing time in the palette of life..

  1. Got for it Sandra dee dye your hair red and see how it turns out it’ll look fab!!!
Love the quote and the flower tub!!! Xx

  2. …im thinking of using the quote on a journal page..looking forward to our journal class starting next week x

  3. Ooh Sandra you brave thing considering red hair! Hows about you print off a few pics of yourself – stick them on a journal page and “audition” different hair colours or styles by painting your “hair” onto your pic? Or you can just take the plunge for real!!! Can’t wait for the autumn workshop – not long to go, and I loved your post about afternoon tea with Kirsty – how posh! Loved the cake stand plus its contents!!!! Pleased you had a grand day out.
